Born into a Baptist family and raised a Baptist which earned him the name of “John The Baptist” among his peers as a result of his active roles in the Baptist Youth Fellowship in his earlier days.
He had had his hands on several things before coming into the ministry. He was a teacher for almost two decades, a farmer, transporter and a businessman.
He first came into the Pentecostal circle in the 90s as he was hungry for more of God and His way when he came in contact with Pastor Femi Bankole-the pioneer pastor of RCCG in Nasarawa then Plateau State, now, Nasarawa State attending the Bible Study (Digging Deep) and some of their meetings but did not become a full member.
He came fully into Pentecostal circle in 1997 when he joined Ever Refreshing Word Ministries Inc. Kano-Nigeria. He became a full member of RCCG on January 1, 2002.
As a graduate of Global Vision Bible College Kano-Nigeria and RCBC (The Redeemed Christian Bible College) graduate, Pastor John commenced ministry in 1998 while still in Kano serving with Ever Refreshing Word Ministries.
He has served under many RCCG leaders while in Nigeria at the Parish, Area, Zonal and Provincial levels. He became a parish pastor in 2005 pastoring RCCG Upper Room Assembly Okota-Lagos, Nigera and pioneered RCCG King’s Court, Sabo-Ikorodu, Lagos-Nigeria.
His call to ministry was not by accident having developed a passion for church planting and evangelism. He has been instrumental in church planting some areas of Belize and surrounding cities, especially where no church is in existence.
He has served as Assistant Parish Pastor, Parish Pastor, Area Pastor and Zonal Coordinator for years before the recent elevation to the office of Pastor In-Charge of Province (PICP) in Belize, Central America.
He teaches the word of God with simplicity and a passionate prayer warrior. He also has great interest in music and sports.
Currently, he pastors RCCG House of Restoration, City of Belmopan Belize-C.A which is the Provincial head quarter’s parish.
Pastor John is happily married to his God-ordained wife, Pastor Funmilayo Victoria Michael who is his co-laborer in the Kingdom business.
